What if children grew up knowing that their hands could be used to care?

Children seem to have a natural understanding of touch.

When we teach Bio-Touch to children, we often notice something remarkable: they seem to know where the Bio-Touch points are located. They don’t always overthink it. They simply touch, participate and connect.

So perhaps teaching children Bio-Touch isn’t just about teaching them a technique. Maybe we’re giving them a language for something they already understand.

From Being Cared For to Caring

Children spend much of their early lives being cared for by parents, grandparents and others who love them.

Bio-Touch gives them an opportunity to participate in that caring.

Imagine a child offering Bio-Touch to a parent who isn’t feeling well. Or a grandchild offering Bio-Touch to Grandma or Grandpa. They aren’t being asked to fix anyone. They are simply learning:

“I can be here. I can care. I can participate.”

The body is the healer. The child’s role is simply to offer the touch.

What If Bio-Touch Became a Habit?

We teach children to brush their teeth.

We teach them to wash their hands.

We teach them how to take care of their bodies.

What if we also taught them the habit of caring for one another through simple, respectful touch?

Perhaps Bio-Touch could become something children simply grow up with—a natural part of family life and human connection.

How Do We Get Bio-Touch to Children?

In this week’s Mondays with Bev & Paul, we explore what it might look like to bring Bio-Touch to the next generation:

  • Parent-and-child Bio-Touch experiences
  • Grandparent-and-grandchild programs
  • Schools, camps and community programs
  • Children’s books and simple learning materials
  • Helping parents introduce Bio-Touch at home
  • Most importantly, letting children experience Bio-Touch rather than simply explaining it

Maybe Children Already Know

Perhaps the most interesting question isn’t:

“How do we teach children Bio-Touch?”

Maybe it is:

“What happens when we give children an opportunity to practice something they already seem to know?”

Could growing up with Bio-Touch help children become more comfortable with caring, connection and compassionate touch?

Join Bev and Paul as they explore Growing Up with Bio-Touch.

What if caring through touch became as natural as brushing your teeth?
