Happy New Year 2017! May it be an amazingly positive year for all of us, filled with love, joy, and good health!
For some people, though, good health can be a challenge when they suffer with symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or Crohn’s disease.
IBS is a common functional disorder of the gut. A functional disorder means there is a problem with the function of a part of the body, but there is no abnormality in the structure. IBS can affect anyone at any age, but it commonly first develops in young adults and is more common in women than in men. Symptoms include intermittent pain and discomfort that occur in different parts of the abdomen. Bloating and swelling of the abdomen may also develop from time to time along with bouts of diarrhea that alternate with bouts of constipation. Other symptoms can include poor appetite, fatigue, backache, and joint pain.
The causes of Crohn’s disease are not well understood. Named for Dr. Burrill B. Crohn, the disease causes chronic inflammation of the intestines. Diet and stress may aggravate Crohn’s disease, but they do not cause the disease. Recent research suggests that hereditary, genetics, and/or environmental factors contribute to its development. Symptoms include abdominal pain, severe diarrhea, fever, fatigue, weight loss, and malnutrition.
But there is good news. Bio-Touch has been shown to help alleviate the symptoms of IBS and Crohn’s disease. Bio-Touch is the perfect touch-healing technique to use in conjunction with mainstream medical protocols.
The Bio-Touch organization is offering a workshop on IBS and Crohn’s at the Center in Tucson on Thursday January 26th from 6-8PM. Workshop attendees will learn the Bio-Touch points needed to address the symptoms of IBS and Crohn’s.
So if you or someone you know suffers from IBS or Crohn’s disease, bring your friends and family to the Bio-Touch Center at 5634 E. Pima in Tucson. You’ll learn how fun it is to share Bio-Touch, while helping each other feel better. What an empowering way to start the New Year!
